ClearNeon reacts with invisible UV light, and changes the energy of the UV light into visible light. So what ever you paint with ClearNeon actually becomes a light source "light bulb". We use eight different active chemicals to make ClearNeon and each one produces a different color light.
ClearNeon is transparent which allows colors to be layered over each other and produce millions color possibilities. When mixing colors you need to remember that you are mixing light and not pigment as results will be different.
ClearNeon reacts to the UV "A" specific light. UV "A" is safe and harmless to
humans, and is not hazardous to the environment.
It is used to steralize and will kill many
cold and flu viruses, along with bacteria
that can make humans sick. Having UV Blacklight in your house can actually clean you house and the air in it, making it a safer place to live.

ClearNeon contains
Rare Earth chemicals that are expensive and
difficult to produce. These rare earth chemicals
have a property that they become excited
and produces visible light when they are
illuminated ultraviolet light.:
Different
rare earth chemicals produce different
colors of light when excited. This property
is some
times known as Luminescent, Fluorescent
or Phosphorescent.
Sun light contains harsh and powerfull UV which cause things to fade, and that includes ClearNeon. "Fade" means
it will no longer Fluoresceand produce visible light. |
 |
 |
Ultraviolet is the invisible
to humans, and have wavelengths (200 to 400
nanometers) much shorter than visible light.
There are three basic types of UV light A,
B, and C.
UV A : 340 - 380nm Proper wavelenght to
excite ClearNeon Blacklite Paint. AKA-longwave
UV.
UV A : 320 - 380nm Used for UV Curing, Non Destructive Testing Inspection.
UV B : 280 - 320nm Used for Suntanning.
UV C : 200 - 280nm Used in Dermatology.
For best results With ClearNeon we want
our peak transmission of UV. A to be around
365nm (longwave UV) this is the Magic frequency
for exciting and illuminating our paint. ClearNeon Paint
is not intended for use in direct sunlight. |

Blacklight Fluorescent Lamp:
Most common source of blacklight is the
fluorescent tube lamp. The gas in the tube is acted upon by a stream
of electrons from the cathode that gives off the selected longwave
UV radiation . The envelope glass used is a dark Cobalt Blue. These
lamps are commonly found in wattage's ranging from 4 to 40 watt
and in lengths from 6" to 48" long.
High Output Blacklight The Use of Short
Arc Lamps:
The Mercury Vapor and Metal Halide types
lamps are more expensive but are best for
High output. These sources produce Visible
light along with Ultraviolet light.,Therefore
we have to use filter to block the Visible
Light (400 - 700nm),UV-C (200-280nm) and
most of the UV-B (280 - 320nm).
Filters Can Be Found Most Commonly In Two
Forms:
1. Fresnel Type - Tented Glass: Work Well
with Mercury and Halide lamps 400 W and
Lower. Blocks almost all visible light.
2. Vacuum Thin Film Dichroic Coating: Very
durable, especially in high heat applications.Operating
frequency can be designed to work around
the Lamps operating specification. Can
be used in fixtures Ranging any where from
70 watt Halide to 18K HMI and Xenon.
Screw-in type household bulbs DO NOT PRODUCE
UV LIGHT:
The lights that look loke an ordenary screw
in bulb do not produce UV light and WILL
NOT WORK WITH CLEARNEON PAINT. We do sale
fluorescent lamps that are bent into an
8 inches circle and are mounted on a screw-in
socket for use in table lamps, these work
great. |

| Q: |
Can Clearneon be applied to plastic like PVC and metal computer
cases? |
Q: |
How much area will a single can cover? |
| A: |
Yes it was formulated for plastic, and works very well on all types of
plastics. Surface should be cleaned and free of oil or dirt. Household
cleaners or alcohol work well. Try it on wires and fans. |
A: |
If sprayed on solid a can of spray paint it will cover approx. 48 square
feet, or a 1 inch wide line 600 feet long. My experience is the best effects
are achieved with line drawings and partial coverage of color. |
 |
| Q: |
Now let me make sure I understand, if I spray it on my walls will I see
anything in daylight? Are you sure it is clear?
|
Q: |
Can it be applied over Latex wall paint, and what color will blue be
if applied to brown walls? Do the walls need to be blue? |
| A: |
Clearneon is Transparent "see through" like "clear coat
lacquer" it has a slight shine to it, so that it will blend in with
almost every type of surfaces. It will appear shinny when applied to flat
wall paint, but otherwise there is no noticeable color to Clearneon.
|
A: |
Clearneon works great on latex wall paint. It works best on semi-gloss,
egg shell surfaces. Usually the color of the wall paint will not effect
the color of the Clearneon paint. If you put Blue Clearneon on a black
wall and it will look the same as if it was on a pink wall. |
 |
| Q: |
Will it come off my clothes and skin?
|
Q: |
Is it available in a store near me? |
| A: |
Yes, Clearneon can be removed from showering and laundry soap. Test in
a non-conspicuous area and follow label instructions. |
A: |
It might be available right around the corner, but we have no way to know who has it in stock. Ask your local stores you may need to give them the web address for ClearNeon. |
 |
| Q: |
Can I get it shipped Next-day air?
|
Q: |
Do you sale it in cans or bottles, so I can use an air brush to apply
it? |
| A: |
Yes: But it can be expensive. The brush on is non flammable liquid and can be shipped next day air at normal retes. However the aerosol is considered dangerous
goods and is very expensive to ship next day, but normal rates UPS ground. |
A: |
YES! By diluting our Clearneon Brush-On Paint with water, it can be used
in an air brush system. Use up to 50% mixture water to get the viscosity that you prefer! |
